Here's what Daniel King of the Bay Guardian had to say awhile ago.

"Come Sunday... Saxophonist, composer and instructor Jim Grantham paid his dues years ago as a fixture at Keystone Korner in San Francisco, and other clubs, before theTodd Barkan-sprung venue and its companions folded in the '80s. Still, the tenorist retained his skills and continues to gig with the lyricism of a Joe Henderson, the soul of a Stanley Turrentine, and the guts of a David S. Ware. The only difference between then and now is that today's Grantham takes more risks on the bandstand, holding court every Sunday for a free ride through the standards. The atmosphere is relaxed, the music is powerful, and the ambiance...well, you get the idea."

Hope to see you soon!
